Tesla's Model Y alone outsold the next nine EV brands combined in the US last quarter: 99,037 vs about 95,700, per new @CoxAutomotive / @KelleyBlueBook estimates.

Tesla as a whole took 54% of US EV sales in Q3, more than every other brand put together.

The twist is that Tesla's own US sales were down 20% from a year ago. Its share still climbed from 41% because the rest of the market fell more than twice as hard after the federal EV tax credit ended in September 2025.

Rivian was the next-closest brand, selling roughly one EV for every five Model Ys.

I didn't expect a down year to end with a bigger slice of the pie.
